7:00 pm – Board of Directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the list of issues that were discussed:

7:35 pm – Meeting was called to order – Pledge of Allegiance & Conservation pledge

Introduction of Officers: Mike Cumberland- President, Stephen Gustkey- Pistol, Brian Jesteadt- Membership, James Hacke- Recording Secretary, Mike Ripley- Junior rifle/black powder.

Treasurer’s Report: Steve read the treasurer’s report in John’s absence.

Bills and Communications: Normal monthly bills.

Pop: Steve turned in $14.

Rental Committee Report: Peggy turned in $575. SRU July 11th, Aug 4 between 10-2pm, Pistol match Aug. 10, 11, 12, Aug. 18. Aug, 25. Sept 25 & 26 (Hunter Safety Class).

Pistol Team: Steve turned in $150. The pistol team shoots on Thursdays, outdoors starting in May, from 5 PM till dark. 22 cal. & Centerfire 32, 38, & 45 cal. All welcome to come practice.

Trap Team: Summer league has started and is not too late to join. See Tom or Jim on Tuesdays with any questions. Practice is on Tuesdays 5pm – dark, $3.50 per 25 targets. Open to the general public, club members, and new shooters.

Black Powder: Nothing to report. Rendezvous is coming up on Sept. 1st and 2nd . 2nd Sunday of each month 11:00 am are the meat shoots (Black powder, closest to bulls eye).

Junior Rifle Team: Due to low turn out Mike announced junior rifle is on hold for now. May resume in fall if there is a demand for it. Contact Mike Ripley with any questions or interest.

Archery: Still looking for any members willing to join together to make a team to practice.

Fun Indoor Shoot:  Dickie announced that the fun shoot has come to an end and will start up again in the fall/winter. They normally shoot every Monday 10am-4pm. Everyone is welcome. Iron/Peep sights with .22 caliber rifles from a rested position. Closest to bullseye wins a prize.

Membership: Brian read new memberships and turned in $360 of which $35 to maintenance fund and $325 to the general fund. $0- was turned in for key cards. He reported 83 new members for 2018 which brings a total of 438 Sr, Life and Charter members. Total membership is 609.

Old Business: Steve announced that he got 15 new pistol target stands for the outdoor pistol range.

New Business: Steve will be modifying some of the old pistol stands with a spike on the bottom so shooters can stick the stand into the ground closer to the shooting pavilion for a closer shot. NOTE: If you plan on using the target stands closer to the pavilion please remove any stands behind it to prevent ricochets. Jim made a motion to purchase a few barrel or stand fans to have in the main hall to move some air during rentals and hall usage. Was a unanimous second. Fans will be bought and available to use by next meeting.

Good of the Association: Remember to police your brass and keep all shots within target holders. Also feel free to replace any shot up target holders at the rifle range. No need to ask.
